How can you make use of this information?

                        Overview 5

This is part of the process of action learning - a form of practical action which you can undertake as part of, not separate from, your professional work.

Using the descriptions herein will enable you to guide your own professional development, action research and self reflection and may form the basis of your performance management discussions with your line manager.

Collaboration with other people and collegial support is a critical part of this process in sharing ideas, seeking feedback, problem solving and generating new ideas.  This enables you to identify theories, concepts and ideas which underpin your approach to teaching and learning and to modify your own professional approach based on your reflections.

Further ideas on how you can use this tool to reflect on your practice and identify relevant professional development and support are provided in this support document.
