Senior Teacher Professional Learning Program Modules 2 & 3
Modules 2 and 3 can be completed via different learning pathways.
The different combinations are:
2 electives
OR
OR
no electives and 1 Individually Tailored Program that equates with 24 hours of own time
The Electives represent system-wide initiatives and are developed and delivered by Central Office consultants. Electives currently available include:
- Classroom Management & Instructional Skills Program
- Assessment Literacy
- Teachers Have Class!
- Gifted & Talented Students in WA Classrooms
- Pathways to Social & Emotional Intelligence
- Building a Meta-Curriculum
The Individually Tailored Program recognises teachers who have enhanced their expertise through recent school or system initiatives, or who have undertaken other relevant self-initiated professional learning. Teachers are required to demonstrate:
- application of the learning to their teaching practice, and/or
- enhancement of their own professional knowledge and understandings, or of their colleagues or the school community.
Modules 2 and 3 provide the opportunity to increase knowledge, skills and understandings about system initiatives that will ultimately enhance the learning outcomes of students.
